Messenger Bag

This leather messenger bag is entirely handmade by Steve and its design is inspired by bag used by Mongols in the recent centuries.

The bag is made from high quality cow and goat leathers. It is all hand stitched, with the edges of the bag braided with leather lace. The various buckles and lock are handmade and sculpted from antler.

It feature a main pocket, a front small pocket (ideal for key) and a back open pocket. Both the main pocket and the front small one have a flap which can be locked with an antler (main pocket), or by pulling the drawstring tight (small pocket).
The main strape and laces are made out of cow leather for more durability and the body is made of goat leather for more flexibility. The leather was rubbed with Mongol “shar tos” (a type of oily butter) to provide the colours as well as impermeability.
The adjusting buckle of the strape is handmade and sculpted from antler as well as the lock of the two pockets.

• The bag is 25x23x2cm.
• The main pocket is 21x23cm.
• The front small pocket is 11x7cm.
• The back open pocket is 21,5x21cm.
• The strape length is set at 110cm and can be adjusted.
