Messenger Bag
A messenger bag inspired by the one used by Mongols in the recent centuries. It is all hand stitched, with the edges of the bag braided with leather lace. The various buckles and lock are handmade and sculpted from antler.
It feature a main pocket, a front small pocket (ideal for key) and a back open pocket. Both the main pocket and the front small one have a flap which can be locked with an antler (main pocket), or by pulling the drawstring tight (small pocket).
The main strape and laces are made out of cow leather for more durability and the body is made of goat leather for more flexibility. The leather was rubbed with Mongol “shar tos” (a type of oily butter) to provide the colours as well as impermeability.
The adjusting buckle of the strape is handmade and sculpted from antler as well as the lock of the two pockets.
